Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis
Today, I took my medical terminology final and we were asked to define this word based on its part. I broke it up into eight various latin and Greek roots and gave it my best shot with “a disease of the lung caused by excessive amounts of microscopic silicon dust from volcanoes.” I just looked it up on wikipedia and it said it meant “lung disease caused by inhalation of silica dust”. I am pretty much shocked at how much I’ve learned about word analysis due to two quarters of Latin and Greek :) can’t wait to apply it to every day life. gooooo classics classes!
