Why 09 was something great.
1. It was the year of epic changes, growth, and transitions, my graduating year.
Graduating high school was pretty big, it was sad while it happened but an inevitable transition into a bigger world! 2009 will always be special to me because of this reason. Everything rushes and goes by so fast, you can’t even stop it. The end of senior year was amazing. SERIOUSLY.
2. I found friends that I finally felt like I fit in with, which was a problem during hs.
Since i moved here my freshman year, i always had trouble finding friends to hang out with and really connect with. But 09 really changed that for me :) I know i’ll always have friends to party it up with at a sleepover, or just to hang out and its a great great feeling.
3. I had a part in a play that had lines!
HAHA i hated this role, but almost everyone mentioned this in my yearbook. It was pretty momentous for me.. haha! And it was a super fun role to fulfill, YEEAH!
4. One year anniversary for not supporting the shameful treatment of farmanimals.
Wooot! One year passes by so fast. Soon, its almost 2 years! In my mind, I never want to support these factories again.
5. Year of lady gaga, black eyed peas, and taylor swift!
ahah what else did you hear on the radio! it was awesome.
6. Finally snowboarding, with epic proportions.
The mammoth trip was soo much fun, and i know why people love snowboarding.
7. Getting into college, and STARTING it.
This was a big deal! College is definitely better in different ways than high school, and there are some cons, but the freedom (especially waking up late) is GREAT.
8. Getting a job, and tons more freedom and money!
I love having a job, and being able to shop. I’ve lived a life of frugality, but having a little spending money is wonderful. Even though it mostly goes to a future car, the part that I decide when and where and CAN spend is GREAT. its a pretty big responsibility tooo, but i love it.
9. Finding someone to really have deep feelings for, no matter how it ended.
idk, some people describe it as love to me, but i dont. Either way, I really found someone to connect with, even though it was for a short while. I loved every moment of it, starting with the cutesy flirting and being shy around him, to late night phone calls, hand holding, random hang outs, and terrible singing. I loved all of the good and the bad, and can’t wait to find someone else that will make me feel the same way I felt when I was with him. He single-handedly altered my senior year for me.
What I want ‘10 to be a year of.
1. Getting a car, a license and ultimate freedom
2. Living away at home, I NEED HOUSING.
3. Partying and new experiences.
4. Snowboarding and taylor swift concert!
5. Good grades and concentration on school, while balancing work and fun!
6. Better health and more exercise.
7. First relationship ! (hah! this is a resolution every year)
8. Involvement in school!
9. Taking care of my dogs, myself, and my family.
10. Independence and maturity.
Recap of 09.
JANUARY- Oh man, january :) This was the climax of our odd more than friends friendship. I slept over, and played monopoly! Include the worst first impression ever given to parents, and meeting the entire family. It was also a month of stress for winter formal. Lots of silly arguing about bowties, corsages, and colors. haha! <3 It was all fun though. Of course there was john lennon and me, which was fun and exciting! And then finals, which was superr stressfull, but ended up with awesome grades. Ended with winterformal, which ended january fantastically. It was dramatic, cut short, but every minute was .. amazing. I loved it all.
FEBRUARY- This month was so freaking confusing and the end of our more than friends friendship (though i didnt know ha) But also chinese new year! woooott. This was also the end of basketball, WOOT.
MARCH- The official blunt ending of everything, this was a pretty sad month for me but transitional :) I started swim around now, though i sucked at it, it was soo much fun. I loved it.
APRIL- This month was the month of prom! So ridiculously stressful, but FUN :) I loved prom, so much photobooth time. and Dennis was a good date, no matter how awkward it was to dance with him haha I had so much time finding a date, but i somehow ended up going with the one I wanted to :) epic greatness.
MAY- Honestly, this month was just a month of waiting for June to start. So antsy about June and graduating. This was the month of AP tests though, which were indeed stressful, but fulfilling. I like a little intense stress here and there :) This was also the boyyys leeague blood drive, haha it was soo much fun :) and ron’s “surprise” birthday party ha! It was fun planning with vivie, and trying to use as little money as possible :)
JUNE- This month was really scary and fun for me actually. I mean, high school was ending for me so fast, and i could do absolutely NOTHING to stop it. I was scared, but so excited at the same time. I remember our last costco run, last classes, and last everything. It was an eventful month. I shouldve played in the softball game, my reasoning was that i wanted more time to sign yearbooks but they didnt even give them out till like a week later -____- i had so many postsecrets haha! :) Graduation was emotional and beautiful, my family made a sign for me :) just an arrow hah! but it really helped me find them haha it really was the end of an epic part of my life. And gradnight was fun tooo, shame on those who didnt go.
SUMMER- I had a boring summer, honestly haha! i wish i did early start for freshmen, at least it wouldve given me something to do. i pretty much bummed a good three months :) i hung out with people who were leaving, which was sad but i knew i’d see them again soon :) i was so scared of my first day of school! I basically woke up at like 3 everyday, then i would just go to work half the week. I gardened ALOT. zomg (which reminds me, its time to start soon :D) i saved up a good 3 thousand, and a spent a good portion of that money haha. i loved summer, good tips and tons of customers. i would make like 60 on a regular night, upwards of 80 on a really good night.then there was spop! It was like link crew but on ecstasy, cause it was soo much more hardcore and awesome! can you imagine sleeping over at LQ? haha :) lotsss more bonding time with your hall/suite/room mates! I met melyssa griffin, one of my spop staffers turned discussion leader turned friend :)
SEPTEMBER- The big 18 this month :) i really had fun this year! I went to disneyland on my birthday, and then hung out with some girls the night of. Then of course, i came home to celebrate with my family. The day after, i ate with qtk and watched gamer. which turned out to be bad, but i love gerry anyway :) I was supposed to go to wild rivers the day after, but people bailed so we just played monopoly and ate thai gulf :) I hung out with people that were leaving, like people leaving to ucs etc. haha last costco run before college, i loved it ! And then out of nowhere, college started. It was so nervewrecking.
OCTOBER/NOVEMBER- October was terrible.. as usual :( No holidays whatsoever, though i have only 4 days of school a week.. so i guess not soo badd but still! a holiday really helps the week go by faster! :) I had to work on halloween, which was a bummer. first year ever that i didnt get to trick or treat. november went by fast cause of all the holidays! :) thanksgiving was alright with the family, i had more fun at ron/don’s thanksgiving party actually :) tons of taboo playing! NEW MOON PREMIERE this month! I went to UCLA with dennis and tina to go watch it with nancy and vincent hah! it was soo much fun, i loved it : ) Black friday shopping was crazyy! i got a printer, cranium for 5 dollars! friends seasons for 9, and an awesome staple cardigan for 12! i lovee it :)
DECEMBER- finals galore, with the prize of break after it was all over! finals werent too bad, i only had 2. but i had a final and a final project due on the same day, so i pretty much committed suicide that day. :) i bsed my final project but still managed an a- in that class, and i got an a+ in my fip class. woots. i was actually considering dropping the fip class or making it p/np cause it was superr sad when i got a d- on my first paper :( how ironic huh? and the professor sent me a personal email congratulating me haha! :) shes tooo cute. my chem final was a bust though haha honestly. i got a b- in that class :P but finals came and gone fast! I have been a bum ever since :) we got into this addiction to board games .. haha! starting off with monopoly, but branched off into different versions of monopoly, then taboo, then mad gabs, then apples to apples, then cranium then last word.. and the list goes on :) christmas shopping and fun and stressful, and i got bomb christmas presents this year :)! everything i wanted.! though if i got nothing, it wouldve been great as well. i love christmas either way. i went snowboarding for the first time at mammoth, and it was soo much fun. i loved it so much. it was expensive.. sooo expensive. i spent like 700 on this trip cause iwas crazy enough to buy my own shit. and i also hung out with my best friends for the first time in a while. another one of us has lost our vcards. ha! :) i love them. we ate crawfish and cake! i worked on christmas day :) there was a bombass sleepover, then i got pink eye for the first time! hah :) and i blame them :P and then a great moviehopping day! and now im sitting here playing fishville, haha! :) off to watch startrek, and the start of another wonderful year. 09<3
